About

Keeling. Lawns. Not the spade.

I’m Carl Keeling. The proper name is Keeling Lawns, because that’s what people look up. The line underneath is I’m not digging it — because I’m not.

A lot of “gardeners” will cut the grass, then start on the borders, then the hedge, then a chat about a new patio. Fine if you want a full garden service. I don’t offer one.

At my age the knees have a vote. Lawns I can do well. Digging I can leave to someone who still thinks it’s a good idea. The kit is battery — mower, hedge trimmer, strimmer — so I’m not breathing petrol and you’re not listening to a two-stroke all morning.

If you need landscaping, I’ll say so and point you at people who actually want that job.

A tired mossy lawn of the sort that needs work, not a spade
The grass is greener when someone else cuts it.

Preferably without being asked to rebuild the garden.

Local

Isle of Man jobs. You are not a number on a mainland franchise sheet.

Clear

I’ll tell you if moss is the problem, or if the lawn is just tired, or if it’s beyond a sensible repair.

Quiet kit

Battery mower, hedge trimmer, strimmer and blower. No petrol cans. Neighbours still speaking to you.

Tidy

Work done, mess gone, gate shut. You shouldn’t have to tidy up after the person you paid to tidy up.
